Latest Select Image #22
The above Episode 2 Select image was taken from the Official Star Wars Website. The structure you see in the image can either be a building or a ship. I think it is the exterior of a massive ship ( like the droid control ship in TPM ). If so, the next question is what planet this structure is on. If you look carefully, the surface of the structure on the right-hand side looks quite rough and dirty so it could mean that this structure has been to or is on the " rocky planet " ( Geonosis, Ttaz or Kamino ? ). If you have any comments or theories on this Select image, feel free to go and discuss it in the SWH Forum.

3 Amazing Official Photos

This past November, Producer Rick McCallum journeyed to Chiba City, Japan, to attend the InterBEE 2000 Conference wherein he unveiled images of Episode 2 to the people that helped develop the digital camera that captured them. And the images he revealed were definitely revealing !
The first image showed Anakin Skywalker looking quite scared in the nightclub scene. The middle one showed R2-D2 and his buddy C-3PO taking a stroll in the Tatooine desert with the Lars homestead in the background. Notice the full silver coverings our friend has. The last one showed Owen Lars, played by Joel Edgerton, in his comfortable homestead. The full story can be found at the Official Star Wars Website.

New Character : Adavë Dis'Frasado
Prequel-Spoilers.com claimed that they have got exclusive information on a new character that will definitely appear in Episode 2. According to them, this character's role in the movie is BIG.
Highlight to read :
Adavë Dis'Frasado is the one who has created new technology which allows for VERY rapid clone growth, whilst retaining mental abilities. The technology also allows for subconscious pre-programming of the clones to a certain extent.
Interesting to also note that Dis'Frasado actually means " disguise / costume " in Spanish. So what we know as of now is that Adave is a scientist working on clone development. However, what we do not know is whether he was intentionally working for the Empire. He could have been bought over by Palpatine or he could have been killed by them for resisting to give the information they wanted.

Jar Jar -- No More Mr. Nice Guy
This stunning news on the foolish Jar Jar Binks comes from TheForce.Net. Looks like we will be seeing a completely different Jar Jar in Episode 2, which could prove to be the downfall of one of the sides.
Highlight to read :
Jar Jar is an ambassador or senator. He will betray the Republic and it's downfall will be his fault.
Jar Jar betrays the Republic ? Hmm...we know how clumsy and stupid he can be at times but betray the side that has done so much for him...nah...just won't work out. Or he could have betrayed them by carelessly giving away important information. Jar Jar will never be a baddie...he is just too clownish...so don't think he will turn over to the dark side or anything. The word " betray " has many, many meanings so don't think Jar Jar intentionally screwed the Republic up. It's more likely a case of his stupidity more than anything else that will lead to its downfall.

Episode 2 Lightsaber Duel
Mike from T'bone has some very interesting news on the much talked about lightsaber duel at the end of Episode 2. It seems that what other websites have been saying on the duel were wrong.
Highlight to read :
From what I`ve heard, the duel is actually a three-way duel ( like in TPM ) and not a five-way one as previously rumored. In this scenario, there is no Dark Jedi, Darth Sidious or Mace Windu in the duel.
It takes place during the last battle of the film. Mace Windu and the other groups of Jedi are in the arena, with Windu fighting the Reek and Jango Fett as you may have seen in those storyboards that leaked out a while back. Padmé is in charge of a squadron of republic clone troopers fighting against the enemy clones and all three types of battle droids. Obi-Wan discovers that Count Dooku is in fact Darth Tyranus a bit earlier on in the film I believe, and the final duel takes place with the characters of Anakin, Dooku and Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan is separated from Anakin at one point ( echoes of TPM ? ), and Dooku tries to lure him to the dark side, telling him to give into anger and hate ( just like Vader in ESB and the Emperor in ROTJ ).
This bit of the lightsaber duel is much more psychological than in TPM. It mirrors the lightsaber duel in ESB in many ways. Obi-Wan is reunited with Anakin after a while, however Anakin`s headstrong and brash style is causing Dooku to gain the upper hand with his calculated moves. At the end, Dooku manages to trap the two Jedi under a massive object very similar to a crane that he cuts off of the landing platform. The " crane " then falls on top of the two Jedi. Dooku is still tempting and taunting Anakin at this point. Although I am not 100% sure, all the evidence I have seen indicates that Anakin does not lose an arm/hand as reported. By that I mean I have seen nothing that clearly states it one way or the other.
Now comes the bit everyone has been wondering about. With the Jedi trapped and Dooku appearing to have won the duel, the tables turn as Yoda enters the battle. Yoda uses the Force to push Dooku off the platform, deflecting his efforts in trying to get to the green Jedi Master. Dooku realizes that he cannot do anything but run. He gets on his stellar sail ship and lifts off just as Yoda manages to lift the massive " crane structure " off of the trapped Jedi.
After this, Lord Tyranus goes to Coruscant to meet with Darth Sidious and he informs his master that the war has begun which pleases Sidious.

Phillipe Talks About Episode 3
Ryan Phillipe gave an interview to the new UK For Him Magazine, and it's got a potentially interesting rumor for Episode 3 hungry folks.
Is there any truth in the rumour that you were up for the role of Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars : Episode 2 ?
" I was, and I went and met George Lucas, but I was too old because the character is supposed to be younger than Natalie Portman, and I'm six years older than her. I suppose it was impossible to make it work. But I got to spend some time with George Lucas and that was cool, and I've also talked about doing something in the third one, so you never know. "

Ending Of Episode 2
Mike from T'bone spelled out some very, very interesting details which he believes is one of the final few scenes in the Episode 2 movie. It also challenges the theory of a major character turning to the dark side in the movie.
Highlight to read :
The film finishes in Coruscant. Bail Organa is with Palpatine and others overlooking the military staging area on Coruscant. One of the last scenes ( if not the last ) is tens of thousands of clones in Coruscant being shipped off to fight in what will be known as " the clone wars. "
Anakin is on Naboo at this time with Padmé for the wedding. I can also confirm for a fact that Anakin does NOT turn to the dark side and that the wedding is at the end of the film just before the last scene of the clones being shipped off.
